שִׁירֵן [נ״ז] מירושלמית, על מפגש תל אביבי של צמד שהן אחת
Shiren is the brainchild of co-creators Iren and Shay, a synchronization of two beings into one. Iren and Shay explore the transformation that takes place over the course of an evening; from prologue to epilogue, from diffuse components to a collective whole, from the mundane to the divine. Their on-stage dialectic delves into the female bond, both as it is experienced from within the relationship, and how it is perceived and influenced from the outside. The harmonized journey undergoes three stages, evolving through the performance, shaped by the interchangeability of the performers. The architecture of the space steers the viewer’s perception, while collective emotion guides the experience. Self-perception is expanded to engulf the other; delineations blur into obscurity. The artists’ rendering is an ellipses, not a period.
